About

As we bid farewell to summer, we usher in a magical and transformative time of year- autumn. On this meandering paddle, you will have the unique and rare opportunity to watch nature prepare for the cooler incoming weather. You will see the beautiful and ancient cypress trees draped in Spanish moss, various birds, and some even see the occasional river otter! We have carefully selected days within the best time range for fall foliage viewing, a very short window! Don't let this opportunity slip away!

Experience Level/Difficulty

This is a great tour for kayakers at all levels of experience. You can usually expect smooth, calm waters during this time, with often low tides. Paddling in these waters at this time usually doesn’t require as much exertion as other times.

What to Expect

On this tour, you're provided a kayak, a paddle, and a life jacket for each paid seat. Each person in a tandem kayak will also receive a paddle and life jacket each.

  • Phones are welcome, but please secure them in a Ziploc bag as we cannot be responsible for lost items.
  • We recommend avoiding flip flops. Please wear shoes that are secured to your feet. You should wear shoes and clothes that can get wet and dirty.
  • Water levels on this tour tend to remain around 6 inches to 4 feet deep, but this can vary.
  • This is a guided tour that may include stops near marshes or sand bars to walk around.
  • Bring bottled water and any snacks that you may want.

Nature Experiences

Our tours are focused on the beautiful nature and wildlife that surrounds them. Although we cannot guarantee that you'll see any wildlife, kayakers often do see animals along the way. Some of the various animals and species you may encounter on the tour include: Shore birds, wading birds, egrets, herons, oystercatchers, skimmers, seagulls, turns, brown pelicans, diamond terrapin, sea turtles, and loggerheads.
