About This Adventure

Embark on a thrilling two-day dog sledding adventure, where you'll bond with friendly Alaskan Huskies and experience the beauty of the wilderness. Enjoy cozy nights in heated tents, delicious campfire meals, and opportunities for snowshoeing and aurora viewing. This unique experience combines excitement, nature, and unforgettable memories under the stars.

Join us for a hands on dog sledding adventure, with 2 days on the trails and night spent under the stars. Enjoy a campfire cooked meal, and sleep in cozy heated Arctic Oven tents. Your adventure starts at Dew Claw kennel where you meet your team of friendly Alaskan Huskies. Tour the kennel, and hear about a life lived with sled dogs. Your guides have decades of experience, and will show you the basics of mushing. Then you will help hook up your team before heading out on the trails to experience the joy and beauty of traveling by dog team. This adventured gives guest the opportunity to experience distance mushing in a beautiful wilderness area.

Your camp is set up with comfortable tents, cots, and sleeping bags. Meals are prepared at camp, in addition there are healthy snacks and hot drinks. At camp you might enjoy exploring on snowshoes, photography, playing with the dogs, or just relaxing by the campfire. Our remote location away from light pollution is ideal for aurora viewing.

The next morning after coffee and a hot breakfast you will be mushing your teams home. Enjoy some time for photography with your team, and help us feed them snacks before returning to Fairbanks.

Approximate time of 24 hours, or 1 full day for the experience.

Rates:

Price is per person and includes dog team, sled, heated tents, and gear needed for activity.

  • Meals drinks and snacks. Does not include
  • transportation to/from Dew Claw Kennel.
  • Personal gear and clothing.

Guest should wear warm insulating base layers. Wool of synthetic socks. Wool or synthetic tops, layers are best as you can adjust them as needed. Warm parka and snow pants and winter boots. Optional gear includes thermos or insluated water bottle, healamp, camera. We provide camping gear, lanterns, and mushing gear. We have additional winter gear available to borrow. Please contact us if you have questions. All meals, snacks, and non-alcoholic drinks are provided. Guest may bring adult beverages that will be transported to camp for your evening enjoyment.
