Tour Overview

We would like to take you for a trip to the Ojcow National Park – the smallest and arguably most picturesque natural reserve in Poland – including a visit in Pieskowa Skala Castle, the chapel "on the river", Ojcow Castle ruins, a walk around a beautiful XIX-century spa resort and natural monuments such as Bludgeon of Hercules, Krakow Gate, famous Dark cave as well as a drink from one and only Love Spring :) finished with unforgettable impressions of smoked / stewed trout from famous Ojcow farm.

About the Ojcow National Park

It is a great place to get away from the hustling and bustling city life, located about half an hour drive from Krakow. The smallest of the Polish national parks, with an area of only 21.5 sq km, Ojcow is visited by many tourists who come here to see the most beautiful Jurassic rock formations in Poland, visit caves and beautifully situated castles in Pieskowa Skala and in Ojcow. In the park you can also observe very rich flora and fauna, including as many as 17 species of bats, European beaver, ermine, badger, and birds: black stork, kingfisher and different species of woodpeckers. Ojcowski National Park can be visited only by following marked hiking trails, the network of which is nearly 50 km long. The Ojcowski National Park may be the smallest but it is has many secrets, long history and interesting legends to discover. Thanks to its charm you will keep the memory of this tour for all your life!

During the tour you will see:

  • Bludgeon of Hercules – the most famous rock form in the Ojcow Park.
  • Pieskowa Skala Castle – one of the most beautifully situated knightly castles in Poland located high on a limestone rock as a Renaissance construction.
  • The Chapel "On the Water" - a wooden sacral building built in 1901 at the foot of the rocks astride the two banks of the Pradnik stream. Alpine-Zakopane architecture style.
  • The ruins of the Casimirs’ the Great Castle in Ojcow, one of the main attractions of the Eagle's Nest Trail in Lesser Poland. It is a gothic fortress situated on a limestone hill surrounded by the beautiful landscapes of the park.
  • The Krakow Gate. The legend says that once the pillars close, it will be the end of the world, so some of the tourists put wooden sticks to slow down the process.
  • The Jonaszowka Rock scenic viewpoint to admire the village of Ojcow and the surroundings.

Tour Itinerary:

  • Pick up from your hotel in Krakow
  • Transport to Ojcow (around 40 minutes by car)
  • Short photo stop by the Bludgeon of Hercules
  • Visiting the Ojcow National Park and a village
  • Tasting the smoked river trout straight from the local fish farm with a glass of the finest regional wine or beer
  • Transport back to Krakow and drop off at your hotel.
