A Unique Cultural Experience!
Experience the captivating art of Native American Hoop Dancing, where colorful hoops tell stories of nature and culture. In collaboration with Red Heritage, this unique performance in Monument Valley combines vibrant choreography with traditional rhythms, offering an enchanting experience and memorable photographic opportunities tailored to your visit.
For centuries Native American Hoop Dancing has been a ceremonial and artistic form of storytelling performed by the First Nation People. Colorful hoops made of willow or reed are manipulated and interlocked to portray different elements including humans, animals, earth and the seasons. Lifelike animals can be depicted; from the lofty and majestic butterfly, to the slow moving and wise turtle, to the graceful and powerful eagle. Often, dancers weave together symbols like thunder, clouds, spheres and creatures to form a narrative choreographed to the rhythm of native drum beats and a traditional chant.
In collaboration with Red Heritage, a Native American performing arts group based in Page, Arizona, we are ecstatic to offer a performance and photography shoot as an accompaniment to any of our tours and or programs in Monument Valley. Whether you are looking for a special performance to enchant your family or a unique photographic opportunity for your group, we are happy to customize an event for your visit to Monument Valley.
