This popular half-day trip begins just West of the Moab area in the Sand Flats Recreation Area. Guests will able to hike their way on the rock fins towards drainages and canyons that lead to two rappels. The first rappel sends visitors into the slot canyon, Medieval Chamber. Walking through the bottom of this canyon displays the beautiful layers of sandstone that have been dispersed over millions of years. The canyon then opens up to make way for the second rappel. This unique free hanging rappel is a breathtaking 120 feet next to Morning Glory Natural Bridge. The bridge measures 243 feet in width, making it one of the longest natural land bridges in the United States. Once at the bottom visitors are able to enjoy the scenic hike Grandstaff Canyon towards the Colorado River. Grandstaff Canyon is an oasis in the desert. The hike follows an ankle deep stream, lots of shade and river crossings making it a perfect desert hike.
