The Long Tom is one of the oldest cabins, possibly named after a trapper in the 1800s. It evokes the pioneer spirit, constructed of logs, it is very homey and warm, with a low ceiling and a commanding view of the meadow and pool. It was rebuilt by Rick Mallory and Stewart Warren. It is winterized, has one queen bed, and accommodates two.
Our cabins at Burgdorf are simple and rustic. Remember they are sparsely furnished log cabins, so you need to come prepared. In each cabin, you can expect a wood-burning stove for heat and bed with a recently purchased mattress and mattress cover, a clean sheet upon which to place your desired bedding or sleeping bag, as well as a table and chairs. The cabins do not have electricity or water. Outhouses are close by and firewood is on the porch. All cabins are within walking distance of the office and pool area. The surrounding area is scenic and natural. No pets allowed on property: Please leave your furry friends at home. Think camping with a cozy fire, in a clean cabin, with a bed.
The Burgdorf Hot Springs area has limited cellular service, so bring cash or prearranged payment for any onsite fees or services.
