About This Adventure

Embark on an unforgettable adventure hunting for fossils, including rare shark teeth, while exploring the rich ecology of salt marshes. Enjoy dolphin sightings and birdwatching, all while cruising past historic landmarks like Fort Pulaski. This unique experience combines nature, history, and the thrill of discovery in a stunning river setting.

Includes surface hunting for fossils most notably shark teeth, salt marsh ecology, dolphin viewing and birding. Depending on the time of year the route to the fossil grounds by boat is a history tour in itself; pass Cockspur beacon, Fort Pulaski, Lazaretto Creek fishing village and hear about the shipping history and the quarantine station at the head of the Savannah River. We find fossils of all different animals ie, Cappyberra, Horse, turtle, pufferfish, alligators, and whales 4 hours

WARNING: This trip is a lot of getting in and out of the boat along the river in muddy and slippery conditions . It is not recommended for anyone with mobility issues or those under three years of age.
