Life on Ridges Road: Past & Present
You will be fascinated by the fishing and mining history of Door County as you glide down Ridges Road on your Segway.
You will glide down historic Ridges Road, which passes through the Ridges Sanctuary and Toft Point Nature Preserve. The sanctuary is part of a geographic wonder and the nature preserve is a beautiful area full of wildlife and breathtaking plant life.
How It Works: Make a reservation ahead of time. We meet in Baileys Harbor, and we train on a Segway in a large parking lot before taking off to see the sites.
Tours usually start at 10am, 2pm, and 4:30 or 5pm (depending on the time of year) but we are flexible to meet your schedule.
Practice Segway balancing before the tour to maximize comfort and safety on varied terrain.
Layered clothing is recommended since lake breezes can vary throughout the day.
Bring sunscreen and sunglasses for open stretches near the lake.
Carry a water bottle as there are limited stops for refreshments during the tour.
