2 field days proceeded by a 2hr Zoom and 1hr Zoom following.
Available dates for this course on the booking calendar (to the right) are for the start of the field sessions. This course starts with a 2 hr Zoom session at 7pm the Saturday evening prior to the course. The course concludes with a 1 hour Zoom at 7pm the Thursday evening following the course. Zoom sessions combine Sunday/Monday and Tuesday/Wednesday field groups.
This course is designed specifically for recreational backcountry skiers and snowboarders interested in developing and refining avalanche awareness, snow assessment and backcountry planning and travel skills.
The course uses snowmobiles for access to ski touring venues, but is not designed as an avalanche course for snowmobilers.

Layering helps regulate body temperature during varied weather and activity levels.
Use field days to actively assess snow stability with your guide for hands-on learning.
