The Statue of Liberty is one of the most recognizable symbols in the world! Enjoy up-close views of this iconic monument from Liberty Island's grounds, while learning all about how she came to exist. Your 3-4 hour professionally-guided, small-group walking tour departs from Battery Park, in Lower Manhattan. The story of America and the birth of a nation begins here. Providing commentary as the tour moves through Battery Park, your Guide will lead the group to the security tent (mandatory screening for all Guests) before leading the group to a ferry for transportation to the Liberty Island’s grounds and Statue of Liberty viewing.
Afterwards, the group will take another short ferry ride to visit to Ellis Island; the famous immigration inspection depot where millions of immigrants landed in pursuit of the "American Dream". The tour concludes on Ellis Island after the guided portion of your tour has ended. On your own, you’ll then have time to further explore the island before catching a ferry (at your leisure) that will return you to Battery Park (round-trip ticketing included).
Getting through security can take time, so plan to arrive at least 30 minutes before your tour starts.
