Departing from Mission Bay, this adventure offers a unique chance to witness these magnificent creatures up close. Dress warmly and prepare for an unforgettable experience on the ocean!
DRESS WARM NO MATTER THE WEATHER, MANY LAYERS REQUIRED, EVEN IN SUMMER
Every once in awhile we get the report that we look forward to the most: Orcas sighted in Southern California! These extremely rare visitors are only in our range a few times per year, so when we get reports like this we scramble to try and find them! There’s no guarantees of course, but when we activate one of these tours, it’s the best chance you’ll have to spot these iconic creatures in our local waters!
This trip leaves from our regular location in Mission Bay at 1617 Quivira rd.
It's IMPERATIVE that you dress warm, no matter what the temperature is. It can feel 20+ degrees cooler or more on the water ESPECIALLY on these long trips that can have 2-3 hours of straight travel time. It can be 80 degrees on land and feel like 40 degrees on the ocean while traveling at high speeds.
As always, these trips are on a small high-speed vessel that can occasionally get bumpy. For that reason we can not allow anyone that has back or neck problems, is visibly pregnant, or has the inability to enter and exit the boat without a ramp. Call for more information.
There is a small enclosed porta-potti on board that can accommodate "number 1s" but not "number 2s" so plan accordingly.
