On the Kennebec Turbine Test, the power company tests their turbines at maximum out put. Normally, the Kennebec River runs 5,000 cubic feet per second, on the Turbine Test dates the power company releases up to 8,400 CFS. Almost twice the water for twice the fun.

The Kennebec Turbine Test is only offered 4 days a year. In 2024, the dates are - June 8th, July 8th, Sept 7th and Sept 21st. Book early to guarantee your reservation on this incredible trip.

If you want to experience twice the fun, raft the Kennebec River Ultimate Turbine Test. Two runs of the upper gorge followed by 1 run of the lower section. This is one of our best trips of the year.
