Enjoy a leisurely 2 mile paddle up the historic Wailua River. You’ll experience beautiful mountain vistas, including “Sleeping Giant” on your way up river. Your hike through the rainforest is just under 1 mile and is rated moderate, so all parties should be in good physical fit condition, active and adventurous. Be prepared for muddy areas on the trail, as you are in the lush tropical rainforest jungle. You’ll cross a stream on your way to the falls, so wear water shoes or teva type sandals. This lovely hike opens right up to the beautiful Uluwehi “Secret Falls”. The refreshing pool at the base of the falls is wonderfully inviting after your hike. Enjoy great picture taking, a picnic and swimming at Secret Falls. Once you are all done at the falls, you’ll hike your way back through the rainforest and paddle back down the Wailua River to where your adventure began.
