Learn essential techniques like knot tying, bait rigging, and fish handling while exploring the stunning Guana Reserve. Enjoy the thrill of fishing from a kayak or paddleboard, equipped with top-notch gear and expert guidance.
• How to tie basic fishing knots • How to rig bait/lures • The proper lines and leaders to use • What works best based on location, conditions, and time of year • Fish handling techniques and fish tagging demonstration • Education about fish behaviors, the ecosystem, and Guana Reserve.
• Kayak (single kayaks only) or Bote SUP with paddle, PFD, and anchor • All tackle, lures and bait • Falcon rods paired with Shimano 3000 spinning reels
• Saltwater fishing license • Sunscreen, bug spray, hat, polarized sunglasses • Wear comfortable, sun protective clothing and water friendly shoes. • Drinks and snacks • If bringing your own fishing gear, Guana has a 3 rod maximum per vessel. • You can bring your own kayak/SUP. Please contact us ahead of time to let us know if you will be doing so.
