With facilities for horse care and the option to purchase supplies on-site, this adventure promises unforgettable moments in nature.
3 Night Stall or Stall and Campsite Reservation
Board your horse at Wildwood Stables in Acadia National Park. There are 3 barns with a total of 34 stalls. Water spigots at each barn with a bathing area for horses. Ride and drive over 45 miles of carriage roads. Choose one of 9 campsites complete with RV hookups (power, water, electricity).
Board is self-care. Bring what you need to care for your horse. There are wheelbarrows, manure forks, rakes and brooms available for your use. Hay and shavings are available for purchase on site.
Always wear a riding helmet when on horseback to protect yourself on varied terrain.
Familiarize yourself with the facilities at your chosen campsite to plan your gear and meals accordingly.
Stay on designated carriage roads and yield to other riders and hikers to ensure safety for all.
Bring fly spray and masks to keep your horse comfortable during warmer months.
