Stargazing of Hobart • Private Tour
Embark on a private sunset tour to the summit of Mount Wellington/Kunanyi, where breathtaking views of Hobart and Southern Tasmania await. As night falls, marvel at the starry sky and explore galaxies through telescopes. Enjoy complimentary hot drinks and sweet treats during this unforgettable celestial experience.
**Your private tour guide will meet you 45 minutes before sunset at your accommodation. Our journey begins with an ascent onto the summit of Mount Wellington/Kunanyi to watch the sunset and enjoy a great view over the greater Hobart area and Southern Tasmania. While it gets darker and our eyes have adjusted to the darkness, millions of stars and a great range of constellations will be visible. We spend about 1.5 hours observing the Tasmanian night sky, where you can look through a telescope and binoculars to explore galaxies and, with lots of luck, the mighty ‘Aurora Australis’, also known as the southern lights. Return to your accommodation just before midnight.
Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, water and sweet treats will be available during the duration of the tour.
What's Included Approx. 3 hours privately guided tour, transport in a well-appointed vehicle, hot drinks and use of telescopes and binoculars.
