Chichen Itzá, which in Mayan means "Mouth of the well of the water sorcerers" is an enigmatic city and ceremonial center of significant influence in the Mayan people. Get to know everything about this incredible archaeological site and its ancient history.
First, head directly to Chichén Itzá from Mérida, and during the ride, admire the Mexican culture. The guide will start telling you a bit about the Mayan's and their history, so be ready once arriving at Chichén Itzá in the morning, before the crowds and heat arrive.
Be able to admire the perfection of “El Castillo”, which due to its mathematical calculations, astronomical, calendrical and religious make this construction the masterpiece of the Mayan culture. Also visit the largest field where the pre-Hispanic ball game was played; an ancient Mayan astronomical observatory known as El Caracol; and the temple of the Warriors.
