About This Adventure

Smoky Rides offers convenient daily shuttles from Gatlinburg to popular trailheads, ensuring you spend more time hiking and less time searching for a spot. Enjoy quick, comfortable transport to stunning trails like Chimney Tops and Alum Cave.

In response to the newly implemented Great Smoky Mountains National Park parking pass and the elimination of roadside parking at popular trailheads, Smoky Rides is offering convenient daily round trip shuttles to the popular trailheads on Newfound Gap Road.

15 - 30 minutes shuttle.

Description:

These daily shuttle trips offer transportation from Gatlinburg for up to 10 hikers with stops at the Chimney Tops trailhead, the Alum Cave trailhead, or the Appalachian Trail crossing at Newfound Gap. Parking at these trailheads is very limited. Avoid wasting time looking for a parking space or the risk of parking tickets.

Important Information:

  • All passengers must be able to ride in a buckled van seat without a car seat or booster seat

  • Please arrive 15 minutes prior to departure time

  • Outbound and inbound shuttles are booked separately
