About

  • This special ride will take you high up into the mountain meadows ABOVE the famous Taos ski valley. We begin our day following the bull of the woods trail as it climbs up alongside the Rio Hondo creek. Cool pines and shimmering aspens give way to grassy meadows surrounded by 12,000 ft peaks. This is where we pull out our world class picnic of roasted chicken, artisanal cheeses, black bean or quinoa salad, fresh fruit, cookies, etc. Who would have known a set of saddle bags could produce something other than squished sandwiches??
  • We ride horses, donkeys & mules!
  • Trail includes a lot of uphills and & downhills, as you're riding in the Taos Mountains
  • If you like your ride, kiss your horse and tip your guide! Gratuity is not included in your total, so please bring cash or let us know to put a tip on your credit card when you pay the balance. Your guides work for tips!
