About

An awesome combo of rafting and kayaking, and the most adventure the Salmon River offers! Run Class IV rapids in a raft then switch to inflatable kayaks for the Class III section. A challenging adventure you won’t forget.

Our experienced guides give your group a detailed safety speech and a kayak orientation. Jump in the boats, follow paddle command and navigate the rafts as team through class IV rapids. Downstream you encounter spectacular Shotgun Rapid, followed by two miles of whitewater and the historic Sunbeam Dam (IV) run.

After the Class IV excitement, the guest then formularize themselves with our super stabile inflatable kayaks, practicing kayaking in the deep Elk Creek boat ramp eddy. After each member of the group is comfortable with the kayaks we head out for more adventure. Piece of Cake and Warm Springs Gorge Rapids round out the series of thrilling runs and lead to the class II section of water, which comprise the middle section of the river. All the while the guest is helping hone your kayaking skills. After all the excitement we prepare a delicious outdoor meal served up at our private riverside lunch camp, we continue downstream through a leisurely stretch of river, allowing time for relaxation. This is an challenging epic adventure you will not forget.

Our High Adventure Combo trip is subject to seasonal water flows, ages 14 and up. All necessary river equipment is provide for your adventure.

Clothing & Gear

We provide wetsuits, splash tops, Helmets, fleece and booties for your trip (children sizes as well). For most trips these items are not necessary but may be requested by guest at anytime (some folks get cold easier than others and its always better to over prepared). Just ask us if you have any questions about the gear we provide.

For early season trips (May and June) and High Adventure Trips we suggest bringing plenty of clothes (all of our guides carry dry bags to stow extra clothes on the boats) you may also leave clothes on the bus and change at the end of the trip as well. Please stay away from cotton clothing, cotton stays wet making you cold and ultimately can affect the enjoyment of your trip.

For all trips we suggest bringing bathing suit or shorts, t-shirt, sandals that fasten securely or shoes, hats, sun screen, and sunglasses, and a water bottle. During the summer months (July and August) most of our guest find they dry of quickly and don’t need much additional clothing.

Weather

We'll raft as long as there isn't hazardous lightning, but ultimately it’s up to you. If you are not comfortable with what Mother Nature is offering and would like to reschedule or cancel, (even the morning of the trip) we have a 100 % money back policy, no questions asked
