The Great Chamber is near the local Kanab area in the Grand Staircase Escalante Region at Cutler Point. Cutler Cove (The Great Chamber) is a photographer’s paradise! An incredible sand dune hidden in a cove at the end of winding sandy roads. If you are visiting during the summer, the afternoons can get scorching hot but the sun lights up the alcove with a beautiful glow. Winter snows also make this area spectacular and give a great chance to take amazing pictures so don’t forget your camera!
We are happy to pick you up wherever you are staying as long as it is local to Kanab. You will specify your pickup location when you book. If you are driving in for the day then we will meet you at the Coral Cliffs Tours office in Kanab (address will be given to you).
There must be a minimum of 3 people who have signed up for the time slot in order for you to get the group rate. If we do not have at least 3 people in your group then you will be charged the private tour rate for 2 people ($179.95). For example: Let's say you are a single rider or a couple, and no one else signs up for the time slot. You will be charged as a 2 person private tour ($179.95 total).
We try our best to keep our group tours small (no more than 10 people) so you can still enjoy the peace and beauty of the area.
Deep and shifting sands require hiking shoes with good traction to keep your footing stable.
Bring your own water supply to stay hydrated during the 3-hour hike; extra water is available in emergencies.
Sunscreen, hats, and sunglasses are vital, especially in summer afternoons when the chamber is brightly illuminated.
Group rates require a minimum of 3 participants per time slot; otherwise private rates apply, so plan ahead to save.

Visitors are encouraged to stick to established routes to protect fragile desert soils and vegetation, helping preserve this delicate ecosystem.
