You step from the gangway into humid salt air and find a driver holding a sign with your name—Da Nang’s port slips away as a private car threads toward two very different peaks. The first stop, Marble Mountains (Ngu Hanh Son), is a cluster of five limestone and marble hills rising roughly 100 meters from the coastal plain; narrow stone steps, carved pagodas and cool grottoes invite short bursts of climbing and exploration. Later the road climbs inland toward Ba Na Hills, where the Golden Bridge arcs above cloud and canopy on a high ridge, its two giant hands appearing to lift the walkway from mist.
