We'll explore unique Northeastern region that is home to coastal forests, wetlands, a bioluminescent lagoon, seagrass beds, shallow and deep coral reefs, and miles of pristine beaches. Leatherback sea turtles nest in these beaches. The humpback whale’s migration in the Caribbean is through the channel between the NE Reserves and Culebra Island. Manatees, green and hawksbill turtles and bottled nosed dolphins are frequent sights. Let's nomadize Puerto Rico's most amazing northeastern region in our full day trip. The variety of landscapes and the ecosystems-none of them further than forty-five minutes from San Juan- is mind-boggling. We'll start with exotic beach food emporia unrivaled by any on the island of Boca de Cangrejos in Pinones. Some unique to the region bites and the refreshments are to be tasted. Next, mysterious Loiza will take us across the ocean and an eon to a world of African society and ritual. Next to the towering El Yunque rain forest in Rio Grande that dominates the only rain forest in the national park system where we'll soak in the river after a short picturesque hike. Another stop after a short drive at nature created Natural Water Slides. Natural phenomena that is fun to watch. Note: Swim at your own risk.Next, continuing to Luquillo: capital bathing, what guards what is perhaps Puerto Rico's finest beach to indulge in the silver finest sand and turquoise waters. We'll finish up this nomadic trip by enjoying delicious authentic Puerto Rican cuisine-buffet style( extra charge).
