Participants should have a moderate level of fitness with the ability to stand and control a motorcycle for extended periods; core strength and balance help.
Throttle up for a six‑hour Baja circuit that alternates desert grit with either reef-side snorkeling at Cabo Pulmo or a cool plunge in Santiago’s Fox Canyon. Expect technical singletrack, sandy washes, and a beachfront lunch—this is off-road riding with purpose and payoff.
The morning light in Baja cuts low and hard, carving long shadows across a ribbon of sand and scrub. Engines cough to life at Rancho Bajaride, and the first curl of dust marks the beginning of a day spent off the map: Honda CRF450X bikes tuned for Baja and chromoly race cars with desert suspension waiting to eat miles. Riders and drivers shoulder helmets, snap harnesses, and settle into a rhythm of throttle, clutch and landscape—dunes giving way to rocky washes, then the sudden green of river-fed pools in Fox Canyon or the salt-sweet wind that steals in off the Sea of Cortez when the route drops toward Cabo Pulmo.

Carry a 2–3L hydration pack and sip continuously—the desert and open coast dehydrate faster than you expect.
Operator supplies helmets, but a personal DOT-approved helmet ensures fit and reduces sunburn inside the shell.
Snorkeling is optional at Cabo Pulmo and not always included—bring mask and fins to avoid rental lines and maximize water time.
Sturdy boots and gloves protect against rocks, chain burns and extended standing; ankle support reduces sprain risk on rough descents.
The eastern Cape’s coastline and inland canyons were shaped by tectonic uplift and marine deposition; Cabo Pulmo’s reef has recovered under strict protection since the early 1990s and now hosts large fish biomass.
Cabo Pulmo is a no-take marine reserve—visitors should avoid touching coral, use reef-safe sunscreen, and support local conservation fees to help maintain the park.
A secure helmet protects from impacts and reduces fatigue from wind and dust.
High-ankle boots protect against rocks and provide leverage when standing on pegs.
Keeps fluids accessible during sustained exertion in heat and dust.
