A full day of riding will allow for you to explore the Hood River as far as you want to take it.
Most folks travel through downtown Hood River and up to the scenic Historic Highway (5 mile car free path). Enjoy a stop in Mosier, OR at a coffee shop, grab an ice cream, or visit one of many orchards or vineyards. You can continue on a shared car route out to Rowena Crest Viewpoint for an epic day of riding.
