Embark on an exhilarating backcountry snowmobiling adventure in the breathtaking Bighorn Mountains of Wyoming. Choose between the Northern Bighorns Tour or the exclusive Wyoming High Country Lodge Tour. Experience challenging terrain, stunning vistas, and expert guidance, all while pushing your limits in a winter wonderland filled with over 250 inches of snow annually.

We offer 2 types of backcountry tour experiences:
1.) Northern Bighorns Tour - based out of Elk View Inn. 2.) Wyoming High Country Lodge Tour - For guests of the lodge only.
Please note we do a have a minimum requirement to guide at $500.
With over 250" of snow annually, the Bighorn Mountains of north-central Wyoming offer scenic vistas of 12,000ft peaks, glacial carved valleys, and lush coniferous forests. Our guides are here help you navigate tough mountain terrain, show you how maximize your mountain riding experience, and take you to some of our personal favorite zones.
Do you rent mountain sleds? Yes, we rent Ski-Doo snowmobiles which you can add to your cart while booking a tour.
Can I bring my own sled? Of course! As long as it is a sled meant for the mountains. We recommend a 146" track or longer.
Do you rent avalanche gear? We do!
When is the best time to book a tour? February and March is peak season, but that means that's our busiest time of year. December is hit or miss. January depends on how good December was. April is sneaky great and less busy.
Which experience is right for me? Backcountry or Trail? Depends on your need! Both are wonderful experiences. Backcountry is technical and challenging, Trail is beginner-oriented, scenic, and relaxing.
Tours can be cancelled for a full refund 15 days prior to a booked tour. Tours booked last minute (within those 15 days) are not eligible for a refund.
No shows are not eligible for a refund. This means if you paid for all 5 of your buddies, and one cancels on you, then your buddy still owes you that money.
Plan accordingly. Winter travel in Wyoming is a risk you take when booking a trip out West. Road closures, bad weather, or cancelled flights do not guarantee a refund.
Always review current avalanche forecasts before heading into deep backcountry snow.
Wear moisture-wicking base layers and insulated outerwear to stay warm during cold rides.
Navigation tools are critical for off-trail routes in the vast Bighorns.
Pack a first aid kit, spare fuel, and repair tools in case of breakdowns in remote areas.
