Start your adventure with a convenient hotel pickup at Auckland CBD between 5:45 AM to 6:00 AM or Auckland Airport Hotels at 6:15 to 6:30am. Our friendly drivers, easily identifiable with clearly marked vehicles as ENZOY TOURS, will ensure you begin your day smoothly. Please be ready at the designated pickup point 10 minutes before the scheduled time.
After 2 hours of Waikato region scenic drive, arrive at your first stop in the charming town of Tirau, nestled in the heart of the Waikato region. Known for its distinctive corrugated iron sculptures and vibrant small-town atmosphere, Tirau provides a delightful 15-minute break. Stretch your legs, use the clean restroom facilities, and savor a coffee or light refreshment at a local café. The town’s iconic dog and sheep-shaped buildings offer great photo opportunities and a taste of Tirau’s creative spirit.
On the way to Wai-O-Tapu, we will be picking up and dropping off our lovely fellow tourists at Rotorua who have booked for other attractions.
Next, you will visit the Mudpool, Lady Knox Geyser and Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland. At 10:15am Witness the spectacular eruption of the Lady Knox Geyser, reaching up to 20 meters high, a daily event induced by adding soap to the geyser’s vent. After marveling at the geyser, explore the Wai-O-Tapu Thermal Wonderland, a vibrant geothermal park showcasing dynamic volcanic activity. Wander through steaming fumaroles, boiling mud pools, and brilliantly colored hot springs. Highlights include the dazzling Champagne Pool, the colorful Artist’s Palette, the neon-green Devil’s Bath, and the playful bubbling mud pools. Enjoy the well-maintained walking trails for 90 minutes that offer informative signage and breathtaking viewpoints.
After completing the walk, we will be heading to Rotorua city center for lunch. Lunch at your own expenses at famous EAT STREET. (45 minutes lunch break), We recommend pre-ordering at your preferred restaurant to save time.
