Both Kinderdijk and Gouda involve light walking on cobblestone streets and around natural landscapes; sturdy, comfortable shoes are recommended.
Dutch weather can be unpredictable—pack a rain jacket or layers to stay comfortable throughout the day.
Kinderdijk’s windmills and Gouda’s market square offer fantastic photo opportunities, so bring a fully charged camera or smartphone.
Be at De Ruijterkade 151 at least 10 minutes before departure to ensure smooth check-in and boarding.
Kinderdijk’s windmills date back to the 18th century and illustrate Dutch engineering to prevent flooding in polders, while Gouda rose as a trading centre and cheese market during the Dutch Golden Age.
Efforts are in place to preserve Kinderdijk’s historic mills and promote sustainable tourism, encouraging visitors to respect local wildlife and natural habitats.
