La Riserva Integrale qui istituita ne sottolinea l’elevato pregio naturalistico, arricchito dalle numerose specie animali e vegetali presenti: l’Orso bruno marsicano simbolo del nostro Parco, il Camoscio d’Abruzzo, la Scarpetta di Venere, l’orchidea più grande e più rara d’Europa e il Pino nero di Villetta Barrea.
Ripercorrendo il torrente Scerto, visiteremo le cascate delle Ninfe e delle Tre Cannelle e osservando con attenzione avremo l’occasione di scorgere alcuni fra gli animali che popolano questa meravigliosa valle.
