Over four or five days, immerse yourself in nature, encounter unique wildlife, and savor local cuisine. With all logistics arranged, enjoy the freedom to explore at your own pace while connecting with friendly locals.

The point of difference is that we combine walking in a pristine National Park with diverse tours in quaint villages. Immerse yourself in the Tasmanian way of life, walking in pristine nature, getting up close and personal with wildlife, enjoying fresh regional food and beverages as well as the luxury of time to have a yarn with friendly locals over a beer or bevvy in the pub.
For couples or small groups who seek the adventure of exploring new places where all the logistics have been arranged for you and all you have to do is turn up and go!
The self-guided walk offers a map app, comprehensive booklet and transport throughout the four/five-day walking tour. The tour follows a similar itinerary to the guided walk with the option of additional tours-Seahorse World, Platypus House and Beaconsfield Museum.
The 4-day tour starts at the Novotel Hotel Deck in Devonport with a walk beside the Mersey River that flows out to Bass Strait and where the Spirit of Tasmania ferry is docked. Visit the Maritime Centre Museum along the way to learn about the fascinating maritime history of the region. Follow the coastal walk up to Mersey Bluff lighthouse, Tiagarra Aboriginal Cultural Centre and Walk and around to Don Railway Station. The loop walk is approximately 14 kms. After checking into your room at Novotel and a little rest it's time for dinner at the famous Italian restaurant, Verona. Get a good nights sleep ready for the walk next day.
Day 2 starts your two-day coastal walk through Narawntapu National Park where you’ll spot Forrester kangaroos grazing on Springlawn Reserve and encounter Bennetts wallabies and pademelons amongst the melaleuca trees. Soak up the fresh air and thrill to the birdsong of wattle birds, thornbills and fairy wrens, just to name a few. After your exhilarating 14 km. walk, check into to Beauty Point Tourist Park and enjoy a hot shower and little rest in your well appointed cabin. Dinner is at the Beauty Point Waterfront Hotel offering fresh seafood, a roaring indoor fire, an outdoor deck overlooking the marina and the opportunity to have a casual chat with friendly locals.
Day 3 is a walk from Badger Head Beach to Greens Beach, with lunch overlooking the majestic Badger Beach from the West Head lookout. After arriving in Greens Beach you can enjoy a relaxing afternoon coffee or ice-cream and browse through the iconic Greens Beach shop that services both locals and tourists. After returning home for a little rest it is time for dinner is at Beauty Point Waterfront Hotel or Chef's Catch for fresh seafood. In the evening you might like a nocturnal wildlife spotting around Redbill Conservation Point (right next to your accommodation) to round off a perfect day. Day 4 is the final day of the tour where you can celebrate with a memorable wine tasting tour at Swinging Gate, photo opportunity at Brady’s lookout. followed by lunch at the iconic riverside hotel, Rosevears. After lunch you will be dropped off at Launceston Visitors Centre or at your hotel (if it is within 7 kms of the Centre).
