Embark on a captivating 10-hour Outlander Day Tour, exploring Scotland's iconic filming locations. Visit atmospheric sites like Midhope Castle, Blackness Castle, and Linlithgow Palace, each steeped in the series' rich history. Experience the charm of 17th-century Culross and picturesque Falkland, all while immersing yourself in the world of Jamie and Claire.

Duration: Approximately 10 hours

Follow in the footsteps of Jamie and Claire on this immersive Outlander Day Tour through some of Scotland’s most iconic filming locations from the beloved Starz series. From majestic castles to quaint villages frozen in time, this tour offers a magical journey into 18th-century Scotland and beyond.

Midhope Castle (Lallybroch) Your day begins at Midhope Castle, better known to fans as Lallybroch, the Fraser family home. This atmospheric ruin served as Jamie Fraser’s ancestral estate and is a must-see for any Outlander enthusiast. Though closed to interior access, the exterior alone brings the series vividly to life.

Blackness Castle (Fort William) Next, we visit the imposing Blackness Castle, which doubled as the dreaded Fort William, where Jamie was cruelly flogged by Black Jack Randall. The fortress’s rugged walls and dramatic sea views create a chilling but powerful connection to the series.

Linlithgow Palace (Wentworth Prison) Step into history at the haunting ruins of Linlithgow Palace, used for the interior of Wentworth Prison, where Jamie suffered some of his darkest moments. While exploring the palace’s eerie halls and spiral staircases, you’ll feel the emotional weight of these pivotal scenes.

Callander House (Duke of Sandringham’s Kitchen) Hidden within this elegant 19th-century mansion is the authentic Georgian kitchen used for the shocking scene of the Duke of Sandringham’s demise. Callander House also offers insight into the lifestyles of Scotland’s nobility during the Jacobite era.

Culross (Cranesmuir) This beautifully preserved 17th-century village stood in for Cranesmuir, where Geillis Duncan lived. With its cobbled streets, colorful houses, and the Mercat Cross, Culross perfectly captures the feel of a bustling Jacobite town. Be sure to spot the garden behind Culross Palace, which was used as Claire’s herb garden at Castle Leoch.

Falkland Village (Inverness, 1945) Travel to Falkland, the stand-in for 1940s Inverness, where Claire and Frank’s second honeymoon begins. Look for the Bruce Fountain, where the ghostly figure of Jamie watches Claire through the window—a scene etched into the hearts of fans.

South Queensferry (Scenic Stop) End your day in South Queensferry, a picturesque village near the iconic Forth Bridges. While not a filming location, it provides stunning views and a perfect spot to reflect on your journey through time and story.
