About

Daufuskie Island is tucked away in South Carolina and can only be accessed by boat. Being a "golf cart" town means your day of exploration will be made simple with a golf cart awaiting your arrival at County Dock. Spend the day exploring the distillery, winery, the Marsh Tacky Horse Society, Freeport Marina, the old church, the lighthouse museum, and more! All golf carts will have a map of the island making for an easy adventure!

This ticket includes all transportation. Gray Line Savannah has partnered with Bull River Marina for boat transportation to and from Daufuskie Island and Mungeon Creek Golf Cart for transportation on Daufuskie Island.

Itinerary:

8:00 am – Depart Gray Line Savannah Office 8:30 am – Arrive at Bull River Marina 9:00 am – Depart Bull River Marina on Bull River boat. 9:45 am – Arrive at County Dock on Daufuskie Island. Golf carts will be waiting 9:45 am-4:00 pm – Explore Daufuskie Island on your own. 4:00 pm – plan to be at Free Port County Store to refuel your golf cart (refueling is at your own cost) 4:30 pm – Arrive at County Dock no later than 4:30pm to turn in Golf Cart and board Bull River boat 5:00 pm – Depart County Dock to Bull River Marina 5:45 pm – Depart on Gray Line vehicle back to downtown Savannah.

Gray Line Savannah Transport

Meet at Gray Line Savannah at 223 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd at least 15 minutes prior to 8:00am departure. We do offer hotel pickup within the Historic District of Savannah. If you requested a hotel pickup, please be ready and waiting for our shuttle at the scheduled pickup time, Pick-ups begin around 7:30am. We will not wait for late arrivals. Arriving late will not result in a refund.

• Parking is available at 301 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd at the Savannah Visitor Center. The cost is free for the first hour and $1 per hour after that.
• Bookings cannot be changed once the reservation is made.
• Gray Line will be back at Bull River Marina awaiting your arrival to transport you back to Downtown Savannah.

Bull River Marina

• Once arriving at Bull River Marina, you will board the boat.
• Bull River Marina does have a bathroom as well as snacks and refreshments that are available for purchase.
• The ride takes about 30-45 minutes to arrive at County Dock on Daufuskie Island
• Make sure all personal items are stowed away properly, Bull River Marina is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
• You must arrive back at County Dock 30 minutes prior to pick up.
• At 5:00 pm, board the boat for another 30–45-minute boat ride back to Bull River Marina in Savannah, GA

Mungeon Creek Golf Carts

• You will receive your golf cart numbers and instructions on the day of the trip.
• Golf Carts have a map of Daufuskie Island
• At the end of the excursion, be sure to refuel golf carts at the Free Port County store before returning to County Dock 30 minutes prior to departure time.

• There are other tours on the island you can book, these are to be booked separately.

Know Before You Go

• Please dress according to the weather. In colder weather, we recommend layers as the temperature changes rapidly on the water.
• This package includes transportation from Gray Line Savannah, Bull River Marina, and Mungeon Creek Golf Carts. Anything else is at your expense (i.e. food, drink, added tours on Daufuskie, etc.)

PLEASE NOTE

• This excursion requires a minimum number of passengers to operate. In the rare event we do not meet that threshold we will contact you to reschedule.
• Cancellation Policy: Cancellations are required 72 hours in advance to avoid full forfeiture of payment.
• This excursion runs rain or shine year-round. In the event the marina cancels the trip due to hazardous weather or water conditions the customer may choose to:
  • receive a full refund
  • adjust the time for the same day
  • receive a rain check to return on a later date
