The rugged Wolastoq (Saint John River) shoreline echoes with the ghosts of “River Relics”. Paddle an Ice-aged river, rerouted 15,000 years ago by receding glaciers to it's Bay of Fundy terminus through the rock ridges at the Reversing Falls rapids.
Experience the ruins of a Limestone quarry dating back to the 18th century with 850+ million year old marble. Photo opportunities abound as you pause to learn about the first Precambrian fossils recorded in scientific literature and the story of a historic lighthouse. Keep an eye open for local wildlife including Bald Eagles, Sturgeon, Great Blue Heron and even the occasional Harbour Seal.
