Individual sleds, everyone can take care of their own team of dogs.
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our personnel who leads you to the kennel to meet the dogs. Your guide makes sure everyone is dressed up warmly and will then give you a driving lesson on how to control the sled. We pack all needed equipment in the sleds and sooner than you notice, you are already on the go. The guide will lead you deep into the peaceful wilderness. At the halfway of traveling each day, your guide will serve you traditional Finnish lunch. When arriving the camp and enjoying the dinner on the warmth of the bonfire, the guide will tell you stories about the sled dogs as well as answer any of your questions. Next day after the breakfast, the tour continues by long day trips with sleddogs through beautiful scenery around the wilderness and last day back to the kennel. (check exact program from our homepage 'overnight huskysafaris').
The kennel owners and the guides are all passionate mushers who have dedicated their lives to the sport and the dogs. There are approximately 100 Alaskan Huskies living on the kennel and the dog pack consists all the way from puppies to elite racing dogs and retired oldies.
