When booking seats in Coach Car 835, you will choose seats in a bus-style format (i.e., two seats positioned together on either side of an aisle, all forward-facing). When booking Caboose 90658, seating will not be assigned, and passengers will choose their own seats once aboard the caboose. Please note that Caboose 90658 DOES NOT contain a restroom, and passengers WILL NOT be able to leave the caboose throughout the duration of the trip.
The heated coaches and limited caboose seating fill up quickly during the holiday season so reserve your spot well in advance.
Even inside heated cars, temperatures can be chilly when boarding or disembarking—layer up to stay comfortable.
The historic train cars have multiple steps and are not wheelchair accessible, so plan accordingly if mobility is a concern.
To maintain comfort and safety onboard, only service animals are permitted on the train; plan pet care before you arrive.
Cass was once a booming logging town whose rail lines now operate as scenic heritage routes preserving steam locomotive history.
The Cass Scenic Railroad State Park actively promotes sustainable tourism by maintaining historic equipment and minimizing environmental impact on the surrounding forested landscape.
Necessary to stay comfortable during boarding and outside the heated cars.
