Curated by renowned artists, this immersive performance features special lighting, creating a reflective and unifying atmosphere for the winter holiday season.
Ars Lyrica presents Ring in the Peace, a 20-minute multi-cultural musical journey from the ninth century onward curated by Mexican-born mezzo-soprano Cecilia Duarte and Spanish-born percussionist Jesús Pacheco. Ring in the Peace offers listeners a new, memorable musical experience that fosters reflection and a sense of unity with one’s communities, both locally and across the world.
Special lighting will animate the experience of the space, creating a fully immersive and ethereal winter holiday experience.
Performance times: 7pm, 7:45pm, and 8:30pm

The Cistern has limited capacity; arriving 15 minutes before doors open ensures you get a good spot with a clear view of the performance.
The underground cistern can be cool in winter—dress in layers to stay comfortable during the 20-minute show.

The Cistern is wheelchair accessible with ramps and seating accommodations available on request.
The Buffalo Bayou Park Cistern was originally constructed in 1926 as an underground drinking water reservoir and was rediscovered and adapted for public use decades later.
