Welcome to Puerto Rico, the rum capital of the world! If you are visiting the Island you must take an insight of the history of rum, its cultural significance and more important, get a good taste of our flavors.
You will meet your enthusiastic tour guide/bartender and walk through the colorful streets of Old San Juan. On our brief walk to our beautiful location, you will learn the details of the history of sugar cane and rum in the island and how some famous Caribbean rum signature drinks were created.
As you arrive to the Rum Lab, begin your mixology class where you will create an exciting Caribbean rum cocktail and learn how to garnish it. With your shaker or mortar get ready to make (and drink!) an unforgettable Puerto Rican rum cocktail paired with delicious appetizers made by our house chef.
Smell and savor hints of spices, strong molasses and caramel overtones of aged rum, flavored or crystal. Discuss and learn where each of these Puerto Rican rums are made, their differences and how to mix them. Dive into our culture by having a fun Salsa dancing class where your instructor will show you the stylish dancing moves of this famous dance.
