Highlights

Salmon Ice Fishing:

After arriving at Parpalandia, we will provide you thermal outwear in order to make you as comfortable as possible during the ice fishing. It starts with the introduction to ice fishing Finland: we will teach you the ice-fishing equipment and the best techniques to catch salmons in the winter. Catching one is not guaranteed, you still need a bit of luck and patience, but chances are much higher than in other places.

Husky tour:

Afterward, thanks to our guides, you will receive the instructions for the husky tour. We will bring you to our starting place, where each couple receives a sled with a husky team. You will feel the strength of the dogs as they start pulling your sled through the Lappish landscape, so don’t forget to hold it strongly 😊 Normally 2 people share a sled: one is standing and steering the sled, the other one is sitting on the sled (is also possible to change the position in the middle of the tour). Small children can sit in the sled together with an adult. We also offer you the solo-driving option if you prefer to live the experience alone.

After the Husky Safari and Salmon Ice Fishing:

After your experiences we are pleased to invite you to our Kota for a snack: you can try sausages (Makkara), bread, cookies, and hot juice for you. If you caught a fish, you can have it smoked on location or bring it home. If you prefer to try some delicious homemade salmon soup 🥣, book it as an extra.

Memories:

We offer you the opportunity to buy a “Husky Musher Driving license” for you or your child. It is also possible to buy our small souvenir.
