Join me on this PRIVATE TOUR to the east part of El Yunque Rainforest (PRIVATE LANDS), that will take you to really interesting and beautiful natural areas of the only tropical rainforest in the USA. This is a perfect tour to avoid being stuck with large groups. (I have transportation for groups up to 12 guests)
I will be picking you up in a luxurious car, early in the morning to avoid big crowds, and we will drive 1 hour to the town of Fajardo, where we will be going to our adventure.
We will enjoy a 45-minute hike through the rainforest (it's rocky, there are roots, it can be muddy, there are hills and a bit of climbing for the activities), during which, you will be shown the flora and fauna of this paradise. We will walk around bamboos, see native birds and tropical flowers. Once we get to our destination, you will have all sorts of activities that we can do like natural water slides, jumps, rope swings and painting our faces with mineral rocks. We will enjoy some fruits at the waterfall. We will hike back the same route we came.
After our adventure, we will go to the Luquillo Kiosks to end an epic day with Puerto Rican food and an amazing view of the ocean.
Trails involve rocks, roots, and muddy patches, so solid footwear is a must for safety and comfort.
The rainforest’s humidity attracts mosquitoes, so apply repellent before the hike to avoid bites.
Although tropical fruits are provided at the waterfall, having your own water keeps hydration steady.
Activities include water slides and rope swings—protect your electronics and dry items accordingly.
El Yunque was established as a forest reserve in 1876 and is the only tropical rainforest in the U.S. National Forest System.
Visitors are encouraged to follow Leave No Trace principles to protect this fragile ecosystem, especially avoiding disturbance to native plants and wildlife.
Supports footing on muddy, rocky, and root-filled trails.
Quick protection from frequent rainforest showers.
