About This Adventure

Explore the Yunque

After so many years working for many companies in Puerto Rico, today we finally obtained this special and unique permit. Come and learn about 191 Recreational and Ecological Area with us in this 1/2 Day Tour Experience.

El Yunque National Forest is the only tropical rainforest in the national forest system. At nearly 29,000 acres, it is one of the smallest in size, yet one of the most biologically diverse. Come experience the breathtaking scenery, clear mountain rivers, and outdoor recreation opportunities year round.

This tour will please every family or group member, El Yunque National Rainforest is a landmark not to miss when you visit Puerto Rico.

During the 4hrs tour, you will visit:

La Coca Waterfall - At an elevation of 1,476 feet (450 meters) above sea level. La Coca Falls is a spectacular waterfall! The waters of La Coca Falls drop 85 feet (26 meters) onto a huge rock formation at the bottom of the falls. This is an excellent spot to take photos. Then we will continue to Yokahú Observation Tower - This 69 foot tower. This is a sightseeing area, where views are unobstructed and far-reaching. We will conclude with a visit at a short trail with a river swim.

Roundtrip transportation included from selected San Juan areas or most convenient meeting point based on your location.

COVID Clean & Safe Precautions:

We are 100% vaccinated. Vans are sanitize after every service.

Please Note:

  • Wearing a mask is optional.
  • No eating or drinking inside the vehicle is allowed.
  • Please have a breakfast before pick-up.
  • Wear closed shoes, tennis, or boots to this nature walk (no flip-flops or Crocks).
  • The Rainforest ground are usually wet, slippery and even muddy.
  • Make sure you wear a bathing suit or swimming trunks below your clothes. Depending on the group pace and schedule there might be a brief time to bathe on the river.
  • Bring a towel just in case it start raining so you can have something to dry when we returned back to the van.
  • Children must have purchased ticket regardless the age.
  • Have cash on hand in case you see something you’d like to buy on the way.

Common Questions:

What are the maximum and minimum ages?

The minimum age is 3 years. Due to uneven terrain, unstable weather due to rain, and walking distances, this tour is not recommended for children under 3yrs. Please assess your child’s ability to walk long distances and be in a car for extended periods of time before signing up for this tour. There is no maximum age, please take into consideration no matter the age that this tour requires some physical effort.

Will the tour go out if it rains?

Yes, unless the Forest Service determines that the rains are too copious and represent a danger for visitors, we will go out with rain. As it is Rain Forest, the probability of rain during the tour is high, be prepared for that.

Are there bathrooms in the forest?

Yes, but please note that there is considerable distance between them. We will make stops before and after the tour.
