About This Adventure

Join Farmer Rachel for an engaging farm experience where children learn about plant growth, sift compost, and interact with friendly animals like goats and chickens. Tailored for ages K-6, this hands-on adventure includes sensory play and science activities, making it a memorable day in nature for young explorers.

Join Farmer Rachel as she walks each child through an educational experience on the farm.

Time slots: Two-hour window (10-12 and/or 12-2) per group

Group size:

  • 25 to 30 are perfect and manageable for the farm. If your student size is larger, then we can split up the group into different time slots

Ages:

  • Farmer Rachel will adjust her teaching based on age group. K through 6 are the most appropriate age groups for the farm however we can accommodate older groups
  • Chaperones: Based on group sizes, we require chaperones. This is for safety

Parking: Parking is limited (About 25 cars), so we ask that you bring the children in a shuttle or carpool where possible

Activities:

  • Let's learn about what plants need to grow
  • Compost sifting - kid-size sifters and one large one. Find worms

Petting area:

  • Spend time with the animals (Goats, Chickens, Rabbits, and one duck named Luna) and maybe even see a chicken lay an egg Play space in the woods with sensory areas and science activities

Costs:

  • The base price is $10 per child. If special activities are requested, the price will adjust
  • Paid Teachers are free and one chaperon per 10 children is free. If parents would like to join there is a $10 per adult fee
