For all ages! • 4 Hours total (1.5 hours mushing) • Into the wild we go!
Embark on an unforgettable half-day dog sled tour through the stunning Yukon wilderness! Experience the thrill of mushing your own team of eager huskies, guided by professionals. Capture breathtaking photos at scenic stops, and enjoy the unique opportunity to learn to drive your sled. Adventure awaits in the great outdoors!
Tours begin at either 10:30am or 1:30pm. Shuttle pick-up is one hour before. This epic half-day dog sled tour begins with making sure you will be warm enough for your adventure by providing a range of top-of-the-line cold weather gear free of charge. You will then be introduced to your team of huskies and given a safety briefing. By now, the dogs will be eager to get going and will not hesitate to let you know! Our professional guiding team will lead the way as we mush down the trail through the Yukon wilderness. At the halfway point of your tour, we will park the dogs at a scenic spot and take some time for photos. Drivers and riders can switch positions if desired, and then we will mush our way back to base camp.
Elevation offers the unique "Learn to Mush - Self Drive" dog sledding experience. Your guide will be with you but on the back of sled on a 2nd handlebar. This gives you, the new musher the confidence you need to learn how to drive your own team of huskies. Two guests will ride on one sled taking turns driving the team.
We provide a door-to-door shuttle service from the Whitehorse area for an additional $60/person. Shuttle pickup is 45min before your tour begins, and drop-off is 45min after your tour ends. We are located 45 min from downtown Whitehorse on a well-maintained scenic highway for those who wish to drive.
Dress as warmly as possible (layering is key!) and we will finish it off with gear from our stash. Eyewear is not provided but we do recommend goggles on snowy days and sunglasses on sunny days.
Temperatures can be very cold, so wear insulated, moisture-wicking clothing to stay comfortable and dry.
Capture the stunning scenery and action shots during stops and while mushing.
