Embark on a captivating 3-hour culinary journey through Kraków's Old Town, starting at the historic Barbican. Sample traditional Polish dishes and beverages while uncovering the city's rich history and local anecdotes. We will begin at the Barbican - close to the last remaining City Gate, welcoming Guests who enter the Old Town of Kraków and take the medieval Royal Route to the Wawel Hill.
Along the way, you will try local specialties, and I will provide you with historical information about the highlights of the city (the Barbican and St. Florian's Gate, Main Square – St. Mary's Basilica & The Cloth Hall, Town Hall Tower, St. Mary Magdalene Square, Sts. Peter and Paul Church, Renaissance Kanonicza Street, the Wawel Hill, and Royal Castle). You will also learn about some anecdotes and personal stories about Polish customs and traditions which you don't find in guidebooks.
At each stop you will be treated with typical Polish appetizers, a choice of dumplings, cheese, meat/fish, and vegetable dishes, as well as one of the most famous desserts.
You will also try traditional Polish beverages: regional beer, a shot of famous Bison vodka, homestyle kompot, a shot of homemade liquor, and coffee/tea or soft drinks.
After our tour, we will provide you with a map with some extra recommendations from your local guide.
