Setting on a British Land Grant deeded in 1774, Glenfield was built in two distinct architectural periods: 1817, when Spain was over the territory, and in 1845, in English Gothic architecture. Glenfield is the only English Gothic private residence in Natchez and one of ten in Mississippi. The home and its original 150 acres are still privately owned by a fourth-generation descendant.
