Local Guided Tour! • Ages 15+!
Embark on an exhilarating 5-hour guided tour designed for adventurous travelers! This strenuous hike delves into Denali's stunning glacier topology, traversing diverse landscapes like the lush forested areas and wildlife-rich tundra. Experience breathtaking views while customizing your journey with your guide, making every step memorable and unique.
This tour is for the more fit travelers and considered our most strenuous tour. While still a narrated tour, the interpretive hike covers more ground, and explores the glacier topology in depth. The extra time on the ground gives the group a chance to see the forested area near the Nenana river, the brushy but wildlife rich sub-alpine tundra, and the gorgeous views and highly adapted vegetation of the taiga. The trip usually hikes 5-6 miles over the 4.5 hours and can gain up to 1500’ in elevation. We do hike inside Denali National Park on front country trails as well as outside the park in state managed lands and native corporation land.
We do not have designated trails but rather allow the guide to customize the location of the tour depending on the group, weather and guide preferences. If you have a preference please share with your guide upon pick up. Due to the strenuous nature of this hike, we ask that all participants be at least 15 years or older.
