Embark on a thrilling 4-hour guided tour designed for adventurous travelers! Experience a strenuous interpretive hike through Denali National Park, exploring diverse landscapes from forested areas to sub-alpine tundra. With customizable routes and breathtaking views, this tour promises an unforgettable journey into Alaska's stunning wilderness. Perfect for nature enthusiasts!
This tour is for the more fit travelers and considered a strenuous tour. While still a narrated tour, the interpretive hike covers more ground, and explores the glacier topology in depth. The extra time on the ground gives the group a chance to see the forested area near the Nenana river, the brushy but wildlife rich sub-alpine tundra, and the gorgeous views and highly adapted vegetation of the taiga. The trip usually hikes 4-6 miles over the 3.5 hours of hiking and can gain up to 1500’ in elevation. We do hike inside Denali National Park on front country trails as well as outside the park on public lands. If you have a preference let your guide know upon pick up! **This tour can accommodate guests leaving on the 12:00pm train. Your guide can drop you off at the train depot for your 12:30pm departure.
We do not have designated trails but rather allow the guide to customize the location of the tour depending on the group, weather and guide preferences. If you have a preference please share with your guide upon pick up. Due to the strenuous nature of this hike, we ask that all participants be at least 15 years or older.
