Authentic, Intimate and local

Flamenco Esencia is located at the riverside just off the famous calle Betis, hidden in calle Duarte. Many locals enjoy flamenco here to enjoy a tapa and good glass of wine, while enjoying an up-close flamenco evening. At the moment we have very limited seating, we can host about 35 guests. Those who are in the first row, will be with their feet on stage and even feel the movement of the skirts and footwork. Flamenco Esencia is also a hotspot and meetingpoint for local artistst. Come along and have the real-deal flamenco experience!

Enjoy flamenco like you were part of the family

Flamenco Esencia is a project of flamenco artists themselves, who want to create flamenco like it used to be about a 100 years ago. That is: at home, with family and friends. This ambiance is created with the small stage with seats around, situated on the emblematic Calle Betis, looking out on the river Guadalquivir. Dancers Antonio Moreno “Polito» Maria “La Serrana» are the owners. María la Serrana, Kati La Zíngara, Francesca Grima, Carina “la Debla» or Choni will host the flamenco-evenings,perform and explain a little bit about the pieces of tonight’s set. They are accompanied by musicians of renowned flamenco families, who are very well know both in Spain as internationally. There is always a well known special guest dancer too, which every now and then is Polito himself. The intimacy of the stage invites to impromptu improvisations and guest performances from other artists or even neighbors that will join in for a “fin the fiesta."
