About

"Discover the first city of America, founded in 1498 and declared a World Heritage Site. You will visit the Colonial City, where you will find the most representative monuments of the country: The first cathedral of America, the Alcazar de Colón, the National Pantheon, or the Museum of the Royal Houses, among others.

The transfer is done in comfortable air-conditioned buses that will take you from the door of your hotel to the very entrance of the historical area of Santo Domingo. The tour includes a typical Dominican lunch and free time for shopping in the typical craft markets.

Important: Entry to the Cathedral is not allowed with shorts and/or sleeveless shirts. You must wear clothing that covers shoulders and knees.

Itinerary

  • 6:40AM - 7:30AM: Hotel pickups.
  • 7:30AM - 7:50AM: Meeting at the meeting point.
  • 8:00AM - 10:30AM: Transfer to Santo Domingo. Visit to Colonial City. First Cathedral of the continent. Visit to the 4Dx Cinema to watch a movie about Francis Drake's invasion of Santo Domingo
  • 10:30AM - 1:00PM: Calle Las Damas, the first street in America (Tour of the old houses of Hernán Cortés, Nicolas de Ovando, Pantheon of the Fatherland). Exterior visit to the Museum of the Royal Houses. Santo Domingo sundial 1753. Plaza España and the UNESCO plaque
  • 1:00PM - 2:00PM: Lunch
  • 2:00PM - 4:00PM: Visit to Columbus Park. Train ride (Chu chu colonial). Free time for shopping. National Palace, Chinatown, and Lighthouse
  • 4:15PM - 6:30PM: Return and transfers to the Hotel
