($50-$80) For all ages! • 3 to 3.5 Hours • Up to 15 people
While we do have guest minimums for tours to run, we can often pair smaller groups together. Please read the following:
There is 3-guest (or $225) minimum for weekday tours; 4 guests (or $300) for weeknight tours; and 5 guests (or $400) for weekends. For groups smaller than the minimum, if you are the first group to book, you have the option of purchasing additional tickets at the time of booking (for example, if you are a group of 2, you can buy 3 tix). If more individuals book that tour, we will refund any additional tix you purchased. If nobody else books, you'll get a private tour at the price you paid. **Please mention any extra purchased tix in the "Additional Comments" field when booking.
If you are below the guest minimum, you can still book a tour right now, and we will try to reschedule or else refund you if the minimum guest requirement isn't met. Please contact laura@eatyourworld.com with any questions!
3-3.5 hours
We'll spend 3-3.5 hours walking and eating our way through 5-6 of the "countries" represented here in Jackson Heights, where there are huge South Asian and South American populations. Your guide--Eat Your World founder Laura Siciliano-Rosen or author-artist Sonya Gropman, both of whom have lived in Jackson Heights for 15-plus years--will also provide lots of neighborhood history along the way. This tour is unique in that you can travel the world via food, and with minimal walking, from India to Tibet to Colombia! Tastings are substantial and sourced from small local eateries and food trucks.
Up to 15 people can be accommodated (please contact laura@eatyourworld.com if you have a larger group).
Comfortable walking shoes, an umbrella if rain looks likely, a reusable water bottle (if possible), tip for your guide (if desired), an appetite and an open mind!
