Moderate fitness: able to do sustained uphill hiking for 2–3 hours with occasional scrambling over rocks
A private day trip from Seoul that combines 2–3 hours of guided hiking on Bukhansan’s granite ridges with a local Galbi lunch and a restorative jjimjilbang spa. Ideal for groups who want a flexible route and city-side convenience.
Morning light cuts across a city still yawning and you’re already on a quiet road toward Bukhansan’s granite spines. The van pulls into a small lot, heat and glass giving way to pine-scented air and the soft clack of hiking boots. Above, the ridge looks personal and immediate: steep gullies, slabs of pale granite, and a skyline of Seoul shrinking beneath you.

Begin hikes in the morning; popular trails fill by late morning and early starts give cooler temperatures and clearer summit views.
Trails include steep stone steps and exposed granite where trekking poles and shoes with good grip make a big difference.
Carry 1–1.5 L of water per person and a compact lunch or snacks; sharing ramen or tea at the top is common but don’t rely on finding food on the trail.
Sauna complexes have etiquette — follow mixed-gender and nudity rules in wet areas, and use provided towels and lockers to secure belongings.
Bukhansan’s fortress walls date to the Joseon Dynasty; the park’s three main peaks earned it the older names Samgaksan and Sambongsan.
Park managers limit development and maintain trails to protect delicate alpine vegetation; follow leave-no-trace rules and stick to marked paths.
Grip on stone and dirt sections reduces slip risk and fatigue.
Helps on steep ascents/descents and eases knee strain on granite steps.
Temperatures can drop rapidly on the ridge; breathable layers work best.
Carry 1–1.5 L of water, sun protection and any personal items for the hike and spa.
